Abstract

Chiral {EuIII3} coordination clusters based on bridging enantiopure 1,1'-binaphthyl-2,2'-diyl phosphato and chlorido ligands are reported. They form polar crystals that exhibit circularly polarised luminescence with a |glum| factor of up to 0.091 at 593 nm, revealing ca. 5-fold enhancement of this chiro-optical effect in comparison to the unassembled Eu(III) complexes in solution.
