Abstract
Bone infection is a highly challenging complication in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic trauma. Patients with open fractures and soft tissue defects caused by high energy injuries have a significantly increased risk of infection. Moreover, postoperative debridement is prone to secondary pathological changes such as bone defects, limb shortening or deformities, which seriously affect the recovery of the affected limb's motor function. Thorough debridement is the core principle of clinical treatment for bone infections, and the limb reconstruction after debridement has become a key issue that urgently needs to be addressed in clinical practice. This article systematically reviews the clinical application progress, technical optimization strategies, and clinical efficacy of Papineau technique, vascularized fibular transplantation, Masquelet technique, Ilizarov bone transport, and other techniques in limb reconstruction after bone infection. The aim is to provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment decisions in complex limb reconstruction after bone infection.
