Abstract

Within a healthcare organization, leadership fosters individual motivation among team members. To ensure everyone's long-term commitment, it is recommended to create a sustainable work environment that promotes the development of this motivation in line with self-determination theory. Managerial strategies should facilitate the development of autonomy, a sense of competence, and social connection - three fundamental psychological needs of individuals.
