Abstract
A 49-year-old woman had a history of urethral injury following vaginal delivery at the age of 25. At 44 years of age, she presented to a local physician with dysuria and voiding difficulty; however, urethral catheterization was unsuccessful, and urethral dilation using a bougie was performed. The urethral stricture subsequently recurred repeatedly. At the age of 49, further bougie insertion became difficult, and a suprapubic cystostomy was performed at the referring hospital, after which she was referred to our institution. Based on cystoscopic findings, she was diagnosed with recurrent mid-urethral stricture. She underwent dorsal onlay buccal mucosal graft urethroplasty combined with Heineke-Mikulicz urethroplasty. There were no postoperative complications, and no functional recurrence was observed at 6 months postoperatively.
