Abstract

The Joint 12th Asia Oceania Human Proteome Organization (AOHUPO), 8th Asia Oceania Agricultural Proteomics Organization (AOAPO), 3rd π-HuB Global Summit, 1st π-HuB Industry Conference and 13th China Human Proteome Organization (CNHUPO) Congress, a landmark 5-in-1 international academic gathering, was successfully held in Guangzhou, China, from October 11 to 14, 2025. Centered on the theme "Navigating the Protein Universe: Toward New Biology and Precision Medicine," the meeting served as a pivotal platform for global proteomics collaboration in the post-pandemic era. Almost 2000 participants from 22 countries and regions, including approximately 200 leading scientists, clinicians, and industry innovators, attended the event. The comprehensive program encompassed diverse formats, including four pre-congress training courses (focused on MaxQuant, PEAKS, AI for protein science, and deep visual proteomics), council meetings of AOHUPO and CNHUPO, over 30 parallel symposia, two satellite symposia, the 1st π-HuB Industry Conference, 246 poster presentations, and plenary lectures by international experts. Cutting-edge topics such as AI-driven proteomics, spatial proteomics, chemoproteomics, drug discovery, and proteomics-driven precision medicine were highlighted, fostering multi-dimensional academic exchanges and technological dissemination. Key outcomes included the launch of the Asian-Pacific Proteome Organization (APPO) to promote pan-species proteomics and One Health governance, and the establishment of π-HuB Park to support the translation of basic research into health practice. Additionally, significant awards were presented, including the CNHUPO Innovation Award and the inaugural "Top 10 Proteomics Highlights in China". This congress reaffirmed the global proteomics community's commitment to unifying research efforts and overcoming boundaries to shape the future of new biology and precision medicine through sustained collaboration, technological innovation, and talent cultivation.
