Abstract
Autoimmune encephalitis and paraneoplastic neurological syndromes comprise a group of disorders affecting both the central and peripheral nervous systems, with an increasing incidence likely attributable to increased clinical awareness and continuous advances in diagnostic methods. These conditions are characterized by an aberrant immune response and often require the involvement of multiple specialties, including neurology, pediatrics, oncology, immunology, and intensive care medicine. In this review, we aimed to provide clinicians with essential knowledge for recognizing clinical syndromes suggestive of these entities, thereby facilitating the establishment of an appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic approach.
