Abstract

This publication examines the impact of research and scientific methodological activities in the field of «Educational gerontology» on the implementation of a gerontological approach to providing comprehensive assistance to elderly citizens. It also substantiates the prospects for the involvement of a pedagogical university (hereinafter referred to as the pedagogical University) in this process, using the example of the A.I.Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia (Saint-Petersburg).
