Abstract

The local standard Specifications for Assessment and Management of Occupational Exposure to Hazardous Substances in Workplace Air (DB53/T 1258-2024) in Yunnan Province was promulgated in 2024. The core of the"Specification" complies with the requirements of the Accreditation Criteria for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (CNAS-CL01: 2018) regarding the assessment of measurement uncertainty. It uses appropriate analytical methods to consider all significant contributions, including those from sampling, and solves the issue of using rapid detection equipment. When the concentration variation of harmful substances is small enough, based on a sampling result with a 95% confidence level, it is determined that the exposure level of the workers meets the standard limit requirements.
