- Folin-Ciocalteu phenol reagent (from Sigma, Pierce etc.)

Procedure
Lowry reagent A
For a 100 mL stock solution, mix 25 mL of CTC, 25 mL of 10% SDS, 25 mL of 0.8 N NaOH and 25 mL of water.
Store up to 2 weeks at RT.
Lowry reagent B
For a 60 mL stock solution, mix 10 mL Folin-Ciocalteu phenol reagent and 50 mL of water.
Store up to several months at RT in an amber bottle.
